Beginners Course

“Giving you the confidence, skills and control needed to bring up a secure and confident companion dog”

These are structured 8 week courses teaching good manners and basic training. First and foremost this is the follow on course for dogs that have completed our Puppy Foundation Course.

Check for the next available Course Date. We always try to keep class sizes small. We recommend that you book your place early as these are very popular courses.

Places must be pre-booked either in person at the club on a Monday night between 6.30 and 7.30pm or by email to kathychandler@live.co.uk. We accept cheques or cash and payment in full is required to secure your place. Before joining the course, do read our Code of Conduct.

It’s important to train your dog whatever its age, to ensure that it is happy, under control and safe. Using positive reward based training your dog will grow to love interacting with you reinforcing your mutual bond. Once we’ve shown you some basic techniques you’ll find you will make real progress if you practice regularly. Keep your training sessions away from class short and enjoyable. Take just five to ten minutes, at home or outside, when you’ve the time and patience and are feeling positive to work on what we have covered in class.

Remember dogs learn at different rates and in different ways – if you’ve any questions or concerns speak to your trainer. We’re here to encourage and help you.

To get the best out of your class please look at our recommendations on what to do before you come to training. Please remember to bring your dog training kit with you.

On successfully completing this course you and your dog will receive a certificate.
