The club has recently relocated to Brighton Hill Community College, Brighton Way, Basingstoke RG22 4HS.
We meet every Monday from 6.30pm until 9.45pm (except on public holidays and for a 2 week summer break when we are closed). Our classes are suitable for all comers from first time dog owners to competitive obedience handlers. All breeds of dog are welcome from puppies to older dogs. Our trainers have a wide variety of experience between them from basic training to competition level in both obedience and agility together with many years of dog handing in a wide variety of other contexts.
All family members are welcome. Dogs need consistency to learn well, in style, tone and body language – especially in the early days of their training. It really helps when the whole family applies the same rules.
Our training is positive and reward based. We’ll assess your puppies and dogs for their suitability for the class you wish to attend to ensure we meet your training needs. The best training occurs when both dogs and their trainers are relaxed and having fun. We do not use check chains, slip collars, harnesses, extendable or chain leads whilst training.
Our club aims are to have:
Happy, well adjusted, sociable dogs
Dogs that are well trained members of our community
Confident and responsible owners
A strong dog/owner bond founded on mutual respect
An appreciation of how dogs can enhance the quality of our lives
If you ever have any questions or concerns please feel free to raise these - we are here to help. |
